One artwork, every surface
From hand-painted canvas to vinyl records to wallpapers — every Maxwel product is a different surface for the same artistic vision. Hand-curated, on-demand, sustainable.
Where it started
Maxwel started as one artist's vision to make art accessible across mediums. Instead of choosing between canvas, vinyl, prints, or apparel, the question became: why not all of them?

Made for you, only when you ask
No warehouses, no overproduction. Every Maxwel piece is created after you order it — no waste, no leftovers, just art that finds its audience.

Quality across every format
From fine art prints on Hahnemühle paper to DTF-printed apparel — we work with the best production partners in Europe so every final product delivers top quality.

Why on-demand production?
# Why on-demand production? Mass production fills warehouses with unsold stock and ends up burning what doesn't sell. On-demand flips the model: nothing exists until someone wants it. ## The hidden cost of mass production The fashion industry alone destroys an estimated 92 million tonnes of unsold textiles every year. Music releases get pulped, books get shredded, posters get recycled before they ever hang on a wall. Mass production has a huge waste problem. ## Made for you, only when you want it Maxwel never holds inventory. When you order a shirt, that specific shirt gets printed for you. When you order a vinyl, that record is pressed for you. No leftover stock, no pulping, no waste — just art that finds its audience. ## It costs a little more, and lasts a lot longer On-demand pieces cost slightly more than mass-produced equivalents because they aren't subsidized by the volume of overproduction. In return, you get higher-quality materials, hands-on quality control, and the satisfaction of owning something that wasn't made until you asked for it.
Welcome to Maxwel
# Welcome to Maxwel One artist's vision becomes a complete product universe — from canvas to vinyl to wallpaper. Here's why we built Maxwel and what we believe in. ## A new kind of art shop Most artists pick a medium and stick with it: a painter paints, a musician records, a designer designs. Maxwel started with a different question — what if the same artistic vision could live on every surface, in every medium? ## Made on demand Every Maxwel product is produced when you order it. No warehouses full of unsold inventory, no overproduction, no markdowns to clear stock. Each shirt, each canvas, each vinyl record exists because someone wanted it. ## Rolling out the catalog Right now you can pre-order the canvas — the rest of the catalog is in production setup with our fulfillment partners. Each new product will go live as we finish testing and onboarding the provider behind it. Watch this space.
Behind the canvas — 8 to 12 weeks of work
# Behind the canvas — 8 to 12 weeks of work Each Maxwel canvas is hand-painted by the artist over multiple weeks, with iterative review by the team. Here's what happens between order and shipping. ## From order to first sketch When your order comes in, the canvas is prepared and stretched. Within the first week, the artist sketches the composition directly on the canvas, blocking out the major shapes and color zones that will define the piece. ## Iterative painting and team review Over the next 6-10 weeks, the painting goes through multiple rounds of layering and review. The Maxwel team looks at the piece together, suggests refinements, and the artist incorporates feedback before adding the next layer of oil paint. ## Photographed, packed, shipped Once the painting is finished and dried, it's professionally photographed for archival purposes — every Maxwel canvas is documented before it leaves the studio. Then it's carefully packed and shipped directly to you.
